Dawn Willet is an artist located in Sudbury, Ontario. Taking inspiration from gothic literature and dark themes, most of her work explores death, the human mind, nature, and what it means to live with mental illness. During her time studying Fine Arts at Cambrian College, she has been expanding her portfolio and exploring a variety of mediums. She runs a small art business, selling prints and original paintings at local art markets and online. Her body of work includes oil paintings of varying scale such as Decomposition (2024), and Severed (2025). She draws inspiration from classic novels such as Emily Brontes Wuthering Heights, Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, and Bram Stokers Dracula. Using their gothic elements and storytelling to add depth and complexity to her work. Dawns future goals as an artist include further studying Fine Art and Art History in Ontario- and traveling abroad to European countries to study art.
